About Me

I am a Montessori coordinator of the pre-k and kindergarten department in a private school in United Arab Emirates. I was born and raised in Damascus, Syria. I moved to California with my family after high school. In 1994, I graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
After having my twins, I decided to pursue a Montessori certificate to get me into schools with my kids; and I fell in love with teaching and the whole Montessori system! I worked as a Montessori teacher for 5 years in Anaheim, California before moving to Abu Dhabi, UAE to work as a kindergarten coordinator in a private school.

In the Fall of 2015, I decided to advance my career and go back to learning; I joined Michigan State University to get a Master of Arts in Education. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love reading and going to the beach. My husband and I love traveling! We have been to France, Switzerland, Italy, Turkey, Lebanon, Germany, Singapore, and Canada.
